We seek proposals across all research areas relevant to the CISOSE com-munity, including but not limited to service-oriented systems, big data and machine learning, AI testing and quality assurance, decentralized applications and blockchain, intelligent mobile computing, smart cities and IoT, and responsible AI.

CISOSE 2026 co-locates eight IEEE conferences — IEEE JCC, IEEE SOSE, IEEE BigDataSer-vice, IEEE IMC, IEEE DAPPS, IEEE AI TEST, IEEE ITASC, and IEEE FITYR — providing tutorials with a broad and international audience of researchers and practitioners. We especially encourage submissions from early-career researchers.

TUTORIAL FORMAT

Each tutorial is a half-day session (approximately 3 hours) delivered at Fukuoka Institute of Technology. Tutorials may include lectures, live demonstrations, hands-on exercises, or any combination thereof. The exact date and time slot within the congress will be confirmed upon acceptance. The number of accepted tutorials will be determined based on the quality and volume of submissions received.

‌TUTORIAL TYPES

We invite proposals for three types of tutorials:

Type 1 — Cutting-Edge Research

Tutorials that cover advances in newly emerging areas. The tutorial is expected to briefly introduce the topic, but participants are assumed to have some prior knowledge of it. The session will discuss the most recent developments in the field and point out open research questions and essential novel research directions.

Type 2 — Introductory Survey

Tutorials that provide introductions to topics established in the CISOSE research communi-ties. The presenters provide an overview of the development of the field from the beginning until now. Attendees are not expected to come with prior knowledge — they acquire sufficient understanding to engage with the most recent research in the field.

Type 3 — Hands-On / Tool Demo

Practical, tool-focused sessions involving live coding, system demonstrations, or guided exer-cises. Participants gain direct, working experience with frameworks, platforms, or development workflows. No prior specialized knowledge is required.

BENEFITS TO TUTORIAL PRESENTERS

Reach attendees from eight co-located IEEE conferences spanning AI, big data, systems engineering, and more.

Accepted tutorials are listed on the official CISOSE 2026 website with full abstract and presenter information.

Direct engagement with an international community of researchers and practitioners at a premier IEEE congress.

An excellent venue for sharing expertise, tools, and frameworks with a technically diverse audience.

PROPOSAL SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Proposals must be prepared using the IEEE Conference Proceedings template (two-column format, US Letter) and submitted as a single PDF ofno more than 8 pages. The IEEE template is available at: https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html. The proposal should contain the following:

Title and Tutorial Type — Indicate which type (1 / 2 / 3) the tutorial belongs to.

Abstract — A concise description of the tutorial content (250–400 words).

Outline and Schedule — A structured outline covering the main topics and estimated time allocation within the 3-hour session.

Target Audience and Prerequisites — Describe the intended audience and any back-ground knowledge expected of attendees.

Presenter Bio(s) — Full name, affiliation, and brief biography (100–200 words) for each presenter, including relevant expertise and prior teaching or tutorial experience.

Technical Requirements — Any special equipment, software, or room setup needed (e.g., lab machines, network access).

Previous Editions — If this tutorial has been presented before, list the venues and approx-imate attendance figures.

IMPORTANT DATES

Proposal Submission Deadline: May 15, 2026

Acceptance Notification: May 29, 2026

Congress Dates: July 27–30, 2026

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

Submit your proposal as a single PDF via email to ckchang@ncu.edu.tw.
